I am delighted to welcome you to our Website. We hope it reflects the wonderful work which goes on here and the specialness of our happy and successful school.

Our most recent Ofsted in November 2007 said "St John's is outstanding in all aspects of its work, providing an excellent quality of education. The outstanding relationships contribute to the extended family feeling within the school environment ensuring that pupils feel safe and secure."

We are a one form entry Church of England primary school, situated near the popular coastal resort of Southport.

Ainsdale St John’s C of E has an atmosphere of “Excellence, Warmth and Enthusiasm”. The children and staff share the joy of learning together. Children enjoy celebrating each other’s academic, artistic and sporting successes.

Our wonderful children are happy to come to school and benefit from the support of our team of dedicated teaching staff, support staff and governors who work together to provide only the best for our children.

The generous support of parents for their children’s learning and in all areas of school life greatly enriches our community. Our fantastic PTA work tirelessly to organise fund raising and social events for children and parents.

The curriculum is broad, rich and creative. We aim to provide memorable and varied enrichment opportunities for all our children.

All children are encouraged to achieve their best and we are proud of the progress they make, not just in basic skills but in all that they do.

We aim to ensure that they stay healthy, feel safe and are challenged to "discover the champion within."

We are a family reaching out into the wider world, caring for and respecting the needs, beliefs and cultures of others. We see our children blossom into responsible, caring global citizens.

We welcome children into our school from the wider community as well as from Christian and other faith backgrounds.
