This half-term we have been learning all about video editing. We started by looking at different devices capable of video recording and thought about the pros and cons of each. We looked at features of an effective video and discovered ideas such as black and white movies, silent films, short films, documentaries etc. We looked at and experimented with different video editing tools including tile, pan, zoom and much more.
Next we got into small groups (of our choice) and worked together to plan our video. We spent a number of sessions filming the clips needed before using Windows Movie Maker to edit them. This involved adding soundtracks, trimming clips, adding transitions, credits and more! The children are very proud of their final videos - and so they should be. Take a look!
