We hope you liked our book Commotion in the Ocean that we had as our story last week. Here's a song for you to share together:
There's a hole at the bottom of the sea!
Watch it through a few times and chat about your favourite bits. Can you and your child join in? You could add actions or intruments (eg a homemade shaker) to enhance the performance. Your child could even perform it to someone in your family.
Discuss with your child what they might see through a hole at the bottom of the sea. Can you make up your own verse to add to the song maybe using one of the creatures from Commotion in the Ocean. Can your child create a picture or model of what they can see? Or could they make up a little dance showing how your sea creature moves? These are just a few ideas to help you get creative.
Or maybe you could just go down to our beach and have a paddle in the sea.... what can you see? How does the sand feel between your child's toes? Can they describe the sea? We loved discovering that one family had fun swimming in the sea one sunny morning last week....It really is Costa del Ainsdale!!!! Enjoy your week everyone!
