Learning Objectives

Topic

This term we should have been combining our Science topic of materials with our DT to “design purposeful functional and appealing products using different materials to weave and make our own place mat”.

Below you will find some super photographs to discuss. What materials have been used to weave the products you can see? Why do you think the materials used have been chosen for each particular object?

There is an opportunity to create your own paper weave by following the step by step instructions using the You Tube clip. Have fun!

Week 11 Additional Activities

Below is a document with additional ideas and activities. This week's theme is: Famous & Significant People.

These are not compulsory but there are some fun ideas.

Activities in these weekly topic packs are from a variety of other curriculum areas such as Science, Art & Design, History, Geography, Computing, RE and PHSE.
