Mrs Houghton, Mrs Howell, Miss Waring and Mrs Bastide are really looking forward to a fantastic year with you all.  You were superstars on Friday - check out what you can be finding out about from home ...

YEAR SIX AUTUMN 1 – ENDANGERED ANIMALS

In year 6 this half term we will be studying ‘ENDANGERED ANIMALS.’  Our class text is ‘Can we save the tiger?’ by Martin Jenkins but we will also study excerpts from Kipling’s, ‘The Jungle Book,’ and ‘Lord of the Forest,’ by Caroline Pitcher and Jackie Morris

These texts provide an exciting stimulus for all types of writing and the more knowledge you acquire the more your vocabulary choices for writing expand.  So be an active learner and get a head start by finding out which animals are at risk of extinction – why they are critically endangered – and what we can do to help.  You have multiple resources at your fingertips when you search wisely using the internet.
