Cup Final Heartache
The footballers played a Haig Avenue in the final of the Loveridge cup.
It was a brilliant match between two committed sides. The team started slowly and found themselves 2-0 down after ten minutes.
They persevered and created a number of chances. Unfortunately the Marshside keeper was in fine form and made some excellent saves. At the start of the final period Freddie scored a fine goal and hope was renewed; the come back was on.
However it was not to be and Marshside broke away at the end to score two goals in the last three minutes.
