School Opening Times and Term Dates
Our School Day
Ainsdale St. John's school day begins at 8.45am when the children enter the school building from the front, Key Stage 2, playground.
Years 1 and Reception enter school through the wooden gate at the entrance to Reception's outdoor space where a member of staff will greet them.
Years 2 to 6 line up on the KS2 playground where a member of staff will collect them.
The school day ends at 3.15pm for Reception and Key Stage 1 and 3.20pm for Key Stage 2.
Reception and Key Stage 1
8.45am - 3.15pm (32.5 hours/week)
Key Stage 2
8.45am - 3.20pm (32.9 hours/week)
At the moment, we offer a staggered start to alleviate traffic at the front of the school.
Registers close at 9.00am. Children who arrive after 9.00am will enter through the school office and receive a late mark.
