Sefton Young Carers
At Ainsdale St John's, we understand that some children help to care for a family member who may have a physical illness, disability, mental health need or other additional challenges. These children are known as Young Carers. We recognise that caring responsibilities can sometimes affect a child's wellbeing, learning and opportunities, and we are committed to ensuring that every Young Carer feels supported, listened to and valued.
We work closely with families and partner organisations, including Sefton Carers Centre, to identify and support Young Carers. Through our nurturing and inclusive approach, we aim to remove barriers, promote wellbeing and ensure that children can fully engage in school life, achieve their potential and continue to shine
