SEND
At Ainsdale St John's, we actively remove barriers to children's learning by delivering high-quality provision that is personalised within an inclusive setting. Our ASPIRE curriculum underpins this commitment, ensuring that every child is supported to Achieve, Show respect, Promote high expectations, Inspire a love of learning, Revisit and embed knowledge, and Encourage personal growth. Rooted in our Christian vision to 'let their light shine', ASPIRE enables all children, including those with SEND, to access a broad, ambitious and inclusive curriculum that helps them flourish both academically and personally.
Our Assistant Headteacher, Miss Giles, is our Inclusion Lead/SENDCo who has overall responsibility for SEND and Inclusion. She can be contacted on [email protected] or by phoning the school office on 01704 578427.
We believe in a close partnership between home and school. Therefore, if you have any concerns about your child, we reccomend the first point of contact is to contact your child's class teacher.
Further meetings may then be arranged with the SENDCo to gather more information, provide advice or discuss actions that may be needed to support your child's learning and wellbeing.
As a mainstream school, we give effective provision for children with special education needs including those with:
Communication and Interaction Needs
Cognition and Learning Needs
Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs
Sensory and/or Physical Needs
Please see the documents below with information on our accessibility plan and how we support disabled pupils to ensure they receive a high quality provision alongside their peers.
