Netball Success

Last night, the netball team received their gold medals and shiny shield for winning the Southern Schools Netball League after playing 8 competitive matches since September and winning 7 of them.

On top of that, last night they played against 4 other teams in the top tournament at OLOL. They won their first match comfortably, scoring 7 goals and conceding one in a short 7 minute match against Kew Woods. They went on to lose their second match against OLOL 3-1 and win their third match against Crossens 4-2. By this point, we knew OLOL had won the tournament overall, and the final match against Norwood would be the decider on finishing in 2nd or 3rd place. Norwood had been the league winners in their own league also so we knew it would be a difficult and competitive match. I am proud to say that our girls fought through every second, winning 5-2, earning them the runners-up position.

They came away with silver medals, along with their  league gold medal and their league winners shield. A very happy team!
