On Thursday 10th October, we encouraged everyone to say #Hello Yellow and raise awareness for children and young people’s mental health on World Mental Health Day. Children brought in items such as cuddly toys and photographs of things that makes them feel happy.
It was lovely to see so many children wearing a splash of yellow too!
The children took part in a range of relaxing activities to focus their attention on what makes them feel good.
As a school, we recognise how important it is for our children to have healthy minds as well as healthy bodies. Our Christian value promises and PSHE curriculum reflect our focus on encouraging children to develop relationships, become self-disciplined, grow in self-confidence and devlop a postive mind-set and attitude. These areas of emotional wellbeing are at the core of our Personal Development at Ainsdale St Johns.
These are a selection of the photographs from today.
