Year 6 Refugee Work

The year 6 children have been working with Mrs Collier to learn about child refugees in history and today.

First of all they focused on the Jewish children who escaped Nazi controlled areas and travelled to England in 1938 - the Kindertransport.

The children then reflected on the plight of modern day refugees forced to leave their countries because of war, persecution and political or social beliefs.

Four of the children children are presenting their ideas and thoughts at the Holocaust Memorial Service to be held this Sunday.
